Larry Brown’s SMU Mustang’s will be without their best player until after the first semester because of Grades.
SMU forward Markus Kennedy will be ineligible for the first semester of the season, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.
A second team All-AAC pick last season, Kennedy was one of the most complete players in the country last season after averaging 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks per game last season
SMU is ranked 22nd in both the Preseason AP and the Coaches Poll.
