Huge spoiler alert
With filming of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice all wrapped up many have began to ask where is Commissioner Gordon in all of this? A Batman story without Gordon seems impossible, but according to Badass Digest, this is a very real and probably possibility.
Reportedly, when Batman v Superman begins Commissioner Gordon is already dead, long killed off and all that remains of his legacy is a plaque paying tribute. The plot takes place mainly in Metropolis, so does Gordon being dead hugely impact the film? No. But, the effects of killing off Gordon would greatly affect the rest of the newly born DC cinematic universe, with Warner Bros. already confirming a solo Batman film in 2020.
For now should we assume that if Gordon does make an appearance in any of the upcoming films that it’s just a flashback before the events in Dawn of Justice? Nothing’s been confirmed yet, and with the film over a year away from release we’ll have plenty of time to speculate on this and ponder how the rest of DC’s continuity would withstand Gordon not being around.
