Since waiving Josh Smith, the Detroit Pistons have won 9 of their last 10 games. It doesn’t seem to be a coincidence at all, but the former Piston is happy for his old teammates in the motor city.
“I’m excited for them,” Smith said, recently, when asked about the Pistons’ success without him. “We could’ve turned it around, I’m kind of thinking that. I text those guys every day and let them know – the ones I was really close to – of how proud I am of them and to keep up the good work.”
Things were a little shaky at first with Smith in Houston, but the team is 7-4 with him now.
