In a decision that shocked everyone, Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater was named the 2014 Pepsi Rookie of the Year.
Beating out finalist such as Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr, Buccaneers WR Mike Evans, Bengals RB Jeremy Hill and Bills WR Sammy Watkins, Bridgewater earned the honor after playing in 13 games.
Bridgewater started in 12 games, and finished with a 6-6 record. He threw for 2,919 yards and 14 touchdowns and was the last player taken in the 1st round of the draft, at No. 32.
Pepsi held votes each week for Rookie of the Week and those results helped named the five finalist.
