Voting for the 64th NBA All-Star game has gone to the next level. Previously, the players chosen to represent both the Eastern and Western Conferences were selected by a media panel, however just like last season, the NBA has implemented fan voting.
The last day to vote for your favorite NBA players is January 19th at 11:59pm EST. There are multiple ways to vote, so don’t get left out in making sure your favorite player is in New York during this years All-Star Weekend festivities.
You can vote by:
1. Vote online on NBA.com. Each registered user can vote one time per day.
2. Twitter voting. Each user can vote up to 10 unique players each day. The tweet has to include player’s first and last name + the hashtag #NBABallot.
3. Facebook voting. Post a status including a player’s first and last name + the hashtag #NBABallot. You can vote for 10 players a day.
4. Instagram voting. Post a photo using #NBABallot and the player’s first and last name in the caption.
5. SMS voting. Text the player’s last name to 6-9-6-2-2 (“MYNBA”) on any mobile device.
6. Apps. NBA fans can vote through the NBA Game Time application, available on Android and iOS.
Currently, Lebron James leads all fan voting with 971,299 votes. If voting were to end right now, the East starting lineup would be:
Lebron James (Cleveland)
John Wall (Washington)
Dwayne Wade (Miami)
Pau Gasol (Chicago)
Carmelo Anthony (New York)
The West would look like this:
Steph Curry (Golden State)
Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles-Lakers)
Anthony Davis (New Orleans)
Blake Griffin (Los Angeles-Clippers)
Marc Gasol (Memphis)
Coaches will add two guards, three front court players and two other players to complete the final rosters. If you don’t see your favorite player, make sure you vote TODAY.
