New York Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez recently worked out with home run king Barry Bonds in California. The two are obviously closely linked to using performance-enhancing drugs, but A-Rod still wants to take Bonds’ record.
“He was funny,” Bonds said. “He said, ‘I want to take your record.’ I said, ‘That’s OK. If that’s what you want to do, we’ve got a lot of work to do.’ I was excited he wanted to do it.”
In order to surpass Bonds, A-Rod would have to average 36 home runs for the next three seasons.
