The hangover of Pete Carroll’s final play call decision in Super Bowl 49 hasn’t worn off for many fans, and people still want answers. Carroll isn’t shying away from the attention, however. He has agreed to do a sit-down interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer to once again try to clear the air on why he chose to pass instead of run with Marshawn Lynch.
NBC plans to begin airing snippets of the interview Wednesday night on ‘NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams’ so tune in to get a glimpse of Carroll’s answers. Meanwhile, Marshawn Lynch is in the process of contract negotiations, so many are wondering if Carroll’s words will be able to appease Lynch into staying with the Seahawks.
