The Giants and Eli Manning appear to be no closer on contract extension. Eli is entering the last year of his contract and is looking for a deal in the greater than the 5 years $99 Million contract extension that fellow 2004 draftee Ben Roethlisberger received.
Giants have no plans to move on from Eli as their starting Quarterback but feel no need to rush in signing an extension. Giants can either use their franchise tag on Eli next summer or wait and see how this season goes for Eli and work on extensions this summer.
Eli bounced back from a bad 2013 this season offensively under new Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. Throwing 30 touchdowns to 14 interceptions and 4410 yards.
