Lakers fans are thinking about Life after Kobe. Swaggy P isn’t going to lead them to the promise land, so these type of scenarios will pop up from time to time. This particular one I believe if a couple of things break their way could be feasible for the Lakers.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst discussed the possibility of Love and former teammate Russell Westbrook teaming up in Los Angeles as transcribed by Nick Dudukovich of FanSided:
Love enjoys Westbrook. They have a relationship. There’s a theory that exists out there that Kevin Love will go to the Lakers this summer, or next summer, and then Westbrook will join him when he’s a free agent, and they will reunite in LA, like they played for UCLA. The guy, the star player he has the best relationship in the league with is Westbrook.”
No one knows what Kevin Love is going to do, he might hang around Cleveland for one more year, but there is no guarantee he will sign on long-term. Westbrook is signed until 2017, but if Kevin Durant leaves OKC in 2016, Westbrook might also be plotting his escape.
No one knows anything at the moment, just something that makes you go hmmmm…
