With the Oklahoma City Thunder missing the playoffs for the first time since the team has been in OKC, Kevin Durant called this season the toughest year he’s ever had playing basketball.
I’m sure it hit Durant extremely hard, especially coming into this season as the reigning MVP and after having a third surgery on his right foot.
According to ESPN, when asked about how he felt about the season he said “I’m definitely pissed,” Durant said at the Oklahoma City Thunder annual exit interviews on Thursday. “I heard a lot of stuff during this time I’ve been injured from everybody. From different people. Definitely pissed. Can’t wait until the first game.”
Durant had won four of the last five scoring titles but this season his teammate Russell Westbrook stepped it up and earned the rights to that title.
Durant was asked about how he felt about his fellow teammate Westbrook and what he did for the team this season he replied with “It was amazing, man. It was amazing. It was so fun to watch.
Durant’s main concern is getting back healthy and playing again and doing something he “loves to do.”
I’m sure we’ll see the Thunder right back has heavy contenders in the league next season.
