Potential lottery pick Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky made his thoughts clear on who should be the 1st player selected in the 2015 NBA Draft, spoiler alert it’s not him.
Frank ‘the Tank’ believes freshman phenom center Jahlil Okafor deserves to be the 1st overall pick.
In an interview w/Sports Illustrated Kaminsky expressed his thoughts on the number 1 pick debate.
“I think Jahlil is a good player,” Kaminsky told SI Now. “Just the way he plays and how big he is and how strong he is. He’s very advanced for his age. If I was going to build a franchise, I’d think about taking either one of them No. 1 overall, but my personal favorite is Jahlil just because I know him more personally.”
Kaminsky knows first hand what kind of monster Okafor is. Wisconsin lost to Duke in the National Championship game due to Okafor’s late game rebounding and putbacks, his size wore down ‘the Tank’ and Nigel Hayes which proved to be the difference.
The debate between who should go number 1 between Okafor and Kentucky freshman Karl Anthony Towns will continue, but Kaminsky’s voice was heard loud and clear.
