Michael Bennett is one of the best characters in the league. One not to hold his tongue, he spoke openly to the press about his contract and what he wants for his future. While rumors have been circulating that he wants a trade, Bennett cleared that up and states, “I want a raise, not a trade”:
“I think everyone who has a job, they want a raise for whatever they’re doing,” Bennett said. “I’m just like any other American. I think everybody wants to be paid a little bit more so I don’t think I fall short of that. People assume when you ask for a little more money, they assume that you want to be traded or something like that. But that’s not what I’m trying to go for.”
Why would anyone want to leave one of the best teams in the league? If you honestly had a choice where to continue your career among champions, the Seahawks are a safe bet. Bennett has not been apart of voluntary workouts. Who will succumb first?
