This whole deflate-gate topic just keeps getting deeper and deeper.
It’s clear that the Patriots plan on fighting these deflate-gate allegations. The Patriots have responded to the Ted Wells report and they have called out the Indianapolis Colts in an odd way. Now this is getting too rich and if you’re looking for a good report to read, definitely read this. In this same response, the Vikings and the Panthers are being accused of heating balls on sidelines. Both teams weren’t issued any punishment, just a warning. In regards to the Colts, the following was said:
“Evidence was also provided that Indianapolis ball boys, in a prior season, had been seen by Jacksonville personnel with ball needles hidden under their long sleeves,” one of the Patriots’ attorneys wrote in a letter to Wells last month.
These allegations are getting out of hand and in a way, also makes us question the intelligence of these ball boys if it’s true. Just the thought of having needles up your sleeves sounds ludicrous and reckless.
