This is an amazing video.
A high school football player who died following a battle with kidney cancer was granted one final wish, after his teammates paid tribute, by carrying him across their high school field one last time.
Malik Sparkman’s final wish was to go through the tunnel and onto the field with his teammates at Coffee County High School before he was buried.
“He always said he wasn’t ever gonna give up and God has him,” Sparkman’s girlfriend, Tia Williams told the TV station. “He was a fighter.”
WALB-TV reported that Sparkman, a star linebacker, was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year.
“Malik was certainly special to all of them,” Robby Pruitt, the school’s football coach, told WALB.
