FSU mascot is well-known as Chief Osceola.
During every home game he rides out on the field on a horse to spike a flaming spear at the 50-yard-line. Big tradition there at FSU.
It is crazy that one of the guys who portrayed Chief Osceola had his life ended like this via FOX Sports.
Caleb Halley, who served as Chief Osceola from 2004-07 according to the report, got into an argument with coworker Orlando Thompson at Buddy’s Seafood Market in Panama City Beach last Tuesday.
The two men were reportedly arguing over the amount of spice to put in the gumbo.
Thompson grabbed a wooden board and Halley a small wooden knife, according to the report. Thompson then got his own knife and slashed Halley in the torso three times.
He died a couple of days later from his wounds and Thompson has been charged with manslaughter.
