I think the “Selfish” tag is a little overblown, just like LeBron isn’t clutch narrative. Kobe’s job for a long time was to be the primary scorer for the Lakers and there were times when his teammates weren’t helping a lot, so he had to be a gunner.
I think older Kobe has no choice but to dial it down a notch to be efficient, but PRIME Kobe was a deadly assassin and that is what made him so great.
