Meriweather was drafted in the first round of 2007 by the New England Patriots and is a 2-time Pro Bowler. Meriweather is known for his hard-hitting style which will be needed after the Giants loss safety Mykkele Thompson due to a torn Achilles in Friday’s preseason game. Meriweather has 15 interceptions during his 8 year career with the Patriots and Washington Redskins.
