Buffalo Bills wide receiver Percy Harvin joined the growing legion of Bills players that are pretty happy with Tyrod Taylor winning the starting quarterback job.
Head coach Rex Ryan named the former Ravens backup (and Virginia Tech star) the Week 1 starter, and Harvin told the teams official website that he’s going to be fine.
He’s going to be tremendous for this team,” said Percy Harvin. “With the weapons that we already have I think teams have to worry about that, but now they have to worry about his legs too with the 4.4 speed he puts on the field I think is going to be tremendously dangerous for opponents to prepare for us.”
Taylor’s athleticism will make him formidable — be he hasn’t started a game since Virginia Tech and he threw only 35 regular season passes for the Ravens during four years backing up Joe Flacco.
Taylor competed 24 of 31 passes for 236 yards (7.6 per attempt), while adding 11 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown during the Bills preseason.
