LeBron on Why Kevin Love Will Be an All-Star Again

We might be two games into the season but LeBron already started lobbying for Kevin Love to be in the All Star game. Beyond the significance of that game, LeBron is continuing to let everybody know he won’t carry the load for the entire season but rather pacing himself for the finish line.

LeBron and Kevin Love had a shaky relationship last season but it seems to be a thing of the past, after putting the Cavs on his back last playoff run, he understood then that he would need help and he had a talk with Kevin Love this summer that led the former Timberwolves franchise player to sign a long-term deal.

James  said: “I knew he’d be sharp when I had my conversation with him in Los Angeles in the offseason”.

LeBron who called a team meeting during the preseason seems to have a clear vision on how he wants the season to go and how his teammates to be utilized this year. There is no guarantee that will bring the first NBA championship in Cleveland but he is letting everybody know that Kevin Love who ended up with 17 points and 13 rebounds last night has to be a big part of what they are trying to accomplish this year.

“I told you Kevin is going to be our main focus. He’s going to have a hell of a season. He’s going to get back to that All-Star status.”

“I know I can go out and get mine when I need it. But I need Kev to be as aggressive as he was tonight, and when he rebounds at the level he did tonight, the shots will automatically fall for him.”

It will be interesting to see once Kyrie comes back how the ball will be distributed among the big three but for now LeBron is taking a seat back and building his teammates’ confidence.
