Twins Torii Hunter Retiring After 19 MLB Seasons

Torii HunterTorii Hunter played 19-seasons in the Major Leagues, which is beyond a blessing and he has decided to call it a career before hitting 20. Torii Hunter has decided to retire after playing 12 of his 19 seasons with the Minnesota Twins, including his final season.

Via Minneapolis Star Tribune,

“I’ve been married to the game 23 years,” Hunter said. “I put it almost No. 1 in my life. My family kind of second. I made sacrifices for my family. And now it is time to give them more time.”

Torii Hunter reportedly was contemplating retirement before the last two seasons and decided that his 2015 22-homerun season was a nice way to go out. Torii Hunter may not be a legend, but he definitely had a consistent career.
