The Oklahoma State Cowboys didn’t perform as strongly as they would’ve liked too while being in the College Football Playoff discussion for the first time with their 35-31 win over 3-7 Iowa State, but with the Big 12 schedule offering premier competition week-in and week-out, the Cowboys have a home game against the Baylor Bears this Saturday to make their case stronger to the selection committee.
Oklahoma State put itself on the map when defeating then-undefeated TCU on November 7th and can improve upon their No. 6 CFP ranking with a win against the No. 10-ranked Baylor. Baylor had their first loss of the season last week to Oklahoma.
Surprisingly, secondary market Oklahoma State tickets have been declining in the past few days. According to SeatSmart.com, the early jump in average ticket price came the day after the win against TCU, as the price went from $161.49 to $190.14 on November 8th. After a few days of the average ticket price hovering around the $185 to $190 range, November 12th showed a decline in price to $155.05. Since then, it’s only been declining even further, as currently the ticket price is yielding an average of $108.21 with a get-in price of $42.

Baylor is unlikely to draw consideration for a spot in the CFP if they were to win back-to-back road games against Oklahoma State and TCU, but no one can predict what can happen to the teams ahead of them.
According to an article from ESPN, Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State are the teams that probably control their own destiny if they were to win out. The only team that may not control their own fate is Notre Dame who can only be surpassed by an undefeated Oklahoma State group. Since the Cowboys are undefeated and still have two quality opponents left, they are in the best position to bolster their resume at the perfect time.
