LeSean McCoy Stands by Comments; Chip Kelly Got Rid of Blacks

LeSean McCoy & chip Kelly

One of the games I’m most interested in seeing this weekend is LeSean McCoy and the Buffalo Bills heading to Philly to face the Eagles. We know McCoy will serve as a captain for Sunday’s game as part of Rex Ryan routine. He always lets his players take on the captions title when they face their old teams. This add more fuel to the fire of the somewhat broken relationship between LeSean McCoy and Chip Kelly.

When McCoy was traded to the Bills he publicly said that Kelly was getting rid of all the black players and suggested that he was a racist. When angry, people often say things they don’t truly mean but not McCoy. Now that some time has passed, McCoy has calmed down but he isn’t taking back anything he said about his former coach.

“Some things you may say from anger, and I was definitely angry, but I’m not going to change anything I say,” McCoy said, according to NJ.com. “I stand by everything I said before. I don’t have no problems with Chip or nothing like that. No hatred. But I stand by it. I don’t take it back.”

“I’m not going to make it a racist thing, a black or white thing. I’m not going to get into that topic. It’s old. It is what it is,” McCoy said. “People want to take it that way, they can. If you really know me, you know who I am. I embrace all people and all colors … I’m just honest. If they want to take it that way, that’s fine.”

I’m not sure what Chip Kelly’s thoughts are on black players but some of his roster moves were eye-opening. The Eagles offense seems to be up and down and very inconsistent as of late. I wonder what they would look like if they still had the speed treats of Mike Vick, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson on their team.
