Lets be honest, the Royal Rumble has been a huge disappointment the past two years. Somehow the WWE has been able to rewrite scripts to salvage the WrestleManias but this year they have the opportunity to get it right the first time.
Before we get into all of the smaller matches let’s recognize what the 2016 Royal Rumble PPV is all about. This year’s Rumble revolves around Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns. The WWE has shown us the past two weeks that they’re ready to create new superstars and these two fit the bill. The Wyatt Family dominated top talent and the Reigns vs all storyline has set us up for this never before seen Rumble stipulation. The WWE has left a trail a clues that hint towards one of these two men headlining WrestleMania this year and tonight’s Rumble champion will answer which one it’ll be.
We will revisit the actual Royal Rumble match a bit later but first let’s talk about the other matches on the PPV.
We’re going to skip that pre-show tag match because honestly no one cares.
