This is a yearly thing for Melo.
The Knicks are a huge disappointment, then all the blame comes on him and people wonder if he cares more about money than winning.
It came to a head last night with Melo telling a fan he should ask James Dolan for his money back. Melo explained what happened.
We are all frustrated by the team’s recent results — everyone, including me, my teammates, coaches and the fans,” Anthony said in a statement through the team. “Last night, a fan and I let those frustrations get the best of us. I should not have responded the way I did.”
“He kept calling my name, calling my name, saying ‘You guys suck, you guys suck,’” Anthony said. “At that point I was trying to gather myself and I turned around, all I did was point at (James) Dolan and told him, ‘Look, the owner’s right there. Ask for your money back.’
“He’s calling me and telling me he’s never coming to another game and we suck. Just don’t want to hear that. I pointed to the owner and told him you deal with that with him, maybe you can get your money back.”
The fan was escorted out of the arena no word if he will ever be coming back or not.
