Jay Z is at odds with the former Tidal executives because he’s claiming they deceived him when he bought the company. The rapper paid $56 million for the rights to Tidal on the information given to him that there were 540K subscribers at the time of purchase.
Tidal just celebrated 3 million users, but Jay Z says he believes that he was lied to about the 540K subscribers at the time of purchase. He believes the number was exaggerated, and it was way less. Because of this discrepancy, Jay Z is suing the former Tiday executives for $15 million according to TMZ.
