Celtics guard Avery Bradley pulled up with an obvious hamstring injury in Game 1 of the playoff series with the Hawks. While Boston fans hold their breath, the Celtics don’t have much good to report. Let’s take a look at the injury:
CBS’s Matt Moore reports that Bradley told Celtic trainers that he heard a pop when the injury happen leaving all of us with experience with these injuries cringing. After the game, Bradley wasn’t able to walk without crutches and had trouble getting dressed without assistance from a teammate, per ESPN.
Avery will have a few days to recover, but if his symptoms are indicative of the severity of the injury, it doesn’t bode well for Celtic fans.
Yes, they have Marcus Smart and Evan Turner to fill in, but none with the kind of grit and grind that Bradley possess. His pairing with Isaiah Thomas is like milk n’ cookies. Both Washington-bred, they have the perfect complimenting skills- one has a fire offensive game and lacks defensively, the other is a hard-ass defender who’s energy doesn’t need the ball on offense.
