The Carolina Panthers made big news when they decided to part ways with Josh Norman. Everyone expected Norman to be back in Charlotte including himself, but once again this is another reminder that the NFL is a business. Norman did a recent interview via redskins.com where he told his side of the story.
“It came out of nowhere it really did. I got sideswiped, and I didn’t see it coming. Being somewhere 28 years all your life and just in a blink of an eye, gone just like that.”
The Panthers have to be careful because they could be walking on a slippery slope when it comes to doing business. Steve Smith who is the Panthers all time leading receiver was also pushed out the back door by the Panthers although Smith was a much older player.
Norman will get his chance to go against his former team on week 15 when the Panthers come to town. Although this may not be what Norman was hoping for at least he got the money that he was looking for.
