Let’s just make him the mayor of Akron already!
LeBron James brought an NBA title to Cleveland and more importantly — to Akron, Ohio, and now the city wants to thank him with a ceremony.
James returned home Thursday to Akron with the Larry O’Brien Trophy in hand, and a new street named after the sovereign leader of northern Ohio.
“Akron is home,” is what James told the crowd of 30,000 people — before the mayor Dan Horrigan gifted James by renaming South Main Street “King James Way.”
“Every king has a kingdom and every kingdom must have roads,” Horrigan told the crowd.
