Part of Charles Barkley’s problem is he never wants to look at anyone’s perspective besides his own. That isn’t unique to Barkley, many people have tunnel vision when it comes to their opinion.
Barkley was on Bleacher Report radio speaking on how he doesn’t give a damn about anyone’s opinion and he is going to say what he is going to say.
While he is entitled to his opinion, he needs to understand his opinions at times are more damaging than he realizes.
When he tries to equate police brutality and murder with black on black crime all some white people hear is “black on black crime”.
No one speaks on white on white crime, no one says white people need to police themselves better even though with all their advantages they commit crimes too.
What he is saying in regard to needing the police is correct and no rational black person thinks that every single police officer is bad, but that doesn’t change the fact that cops are still abusing, brutalizing and killing black people far too often.
Just because you are throwing around money like Charles made sure we knew in his interview, doesn’t change that fact that police brutality and the inequality that black people are receiving from the cops aren’t our fault.
