The Pokemon Go game has caused a lot of people to do things out of the norm. A New Zealand man has even taken it to another level with how much he loves the game. Tom Currie who was working as a bartender became so enamored with the game that he felt it was time to quit his job and become a full-time Pokemon player.
“I wanted to have an adventure.” said Currie via The Guardian. ” I have been working for six years and I was desperate for a break. And Pokemon gave me the chance to live that dream.”
Currie plans to take a two month trip around New Zealand on his journey to catch all of the Pokemon that he can. So far he has already caught 90 of the 151 Pokemon. He has also been sleeping on his friends couch, and in dorms. His story has caught the eyes of so many that transport companies are offering to take him to different parts of the country to hunt for Pokemon.
You really have to love a game if you are willing to walk away from your job and to sleep on a friend’s couch. I guess when he’s done he will go back and possibly find another job.
