Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero has been in his fair share of battles most notably with Floyd Mayweather in May 2013.
Speaking at Spike TV studios on Tuesday to promote his August 27th fight against David Peralta, Guerrero fielded questions on his upcoming fight, past opponent Mayweather and a potential match-up between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. When asked how Canelo would fair against GGG, Guerrero quipped that Mayweather was able to push Canelo back but fell short when doing the same to him.
“I was hitting that body. Every time I was going to hit that body he was bout to sh*t his pants. He as like ‘I’m out of here. I’m gone.'”
In the aftermath of the fight against Mayweather, Guerrero and his father/trainer Ruben Guerrero maintained that Mayweather ran during the fight and still believe that to be the case. As for Canelo vs GGG, it sounds like Guerrero is going with Golovkin.
