As previously reported, Natalie Coyle, also known as Eva Marie, was suspended for 30 days this week from the WWE for allegedly violating their wellness policy.
And the banned substance at the root of the violation has been confirmed as Adderall but Marie is insisting that she has a prescription for it, according to TMZ.
WWE sources told the popular blog that all performers are required to disclose all medication for the companies approval — and in Marie’s case, her prescription wasn’t properly approved.
The WWE superstar claims she “has a legit prescription from her doctor” and issued this statement Saturday:
I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity.
She added:
I violated policy by not turning in portions of required paperwork in the time frame WWE Medical deemed timely. I look forward to my return!
…I’m sure your fans do too, Ms. Eva.
