It’s been a few weeks since we didn’t get any odd Pokemon Go stories. This latest one, involves a 57-year old man hitting a teenager with a metal pipe on his head all because he was playing Pokemon Go.
For the record, the game does advise you to look up and check your surroundings. However, this 17-year old teenager was probably not expecting to get hit on the head with a metal pipe.
Prosecutors said on Wednesday a 17-year-old boy was playing Pokémon Go in the 70 block of Aquarium Way in Long Beach.
As the teenager was roaming the area, Lingen allegedly yelled at the victim and hit him in the head with a metal pole, prosecutors said.
Following the alleged assault, authorities were called and police took Lingen into custody, the D.A. added.
If convicted on the charges, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 13 years behind bars.
This incident is being investigated by police still because it is pretty odd to hit someone, at random, with a metal pipe.
