I do not think there has ever been any secret among NFL community that Ricky Williams loves smoking weed. You could even argue that he loved it more than the NFL. In an recent interview with Bill Simmons Ricky spoke about weed, the NFL and some of the surrounding issues that plaque his career. The most noteable was when Simmons asked him if weed was legal would he be a Hall of Famer, to which Ricky responded yes.
“For sure, no doubt about it,” Williams said. “I think one, I look at the amount of stress and things that distracted me from playing football, surrounding cannabis.
Judging by the amount of time spent on suspension due to his smoking. Over 29 games missed due to suspensions, not including his forced retirement in 2014 due to weed use. Ricky may in fact be right but we shall never know.
