The state of North Carolina continues to take L’s behind HB2, its transgender bathroom law.
After losing NBA All-Star weekend and countless performances and revenue streams, Russell Wilson and Ciara have revealed that they decided to move their wedding out of the state due to the law as well.
Wedding planner Mindy Weiss didn’t go into great detail when speaking on the couple’s initial plans to wed in the Tarheel state in July. However, she did say the same anti-LGBT bathroom law that deterred the NBA was the deciding factor in moving the ceremony to London.
They were first getting married in North Carolina, but they called it off due to the transgender bathroom laws.
Paris was also on the short list but the nuptials coincided with Couture Fashion Week.
