Every year it seems like at least one team in the NFL is cursed with bad news. After 3 weeks, the early favorites for this season are the Cleveland Browns. They have been hit with a host of injuries the quarterback spot forcing Terrelle Pryor Sr. to take snaps under center with RG3, Josh McCown and Cody Kessler all missing time. Today they received more bad news but this time there maybe legal ramifications.
According to ProSportsTalk.com, Browns offensive lineman Alvin Bailey was arrested early Monday morning for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Marijuana was also found in the car in additions to Bailey being cited for failure to comply, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse, speeding and driving an unsafe vehicle do to a cracked windshield. Bailey admitted to police that he had been drinking on the teams plane during the flight back to Cleveland and at a business in the area after the loss in Miami.
The Browns executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown released this statement:
“The team is displeased and extremely disappointed in Bailey”
It’s worth noting that drinking on the plane was a violation of team and league rules which would make Bailey subject to disciplinary actions.
