16 year old Georgia twins, Lauren and Steven Seroyer are making headlines for an awesome, positive contribution to their community.
The teens have launched a confidential food pantry. CARE Closet, “Community Assistance and Resource Effort”, was launched after Lauren had a devastating conversation with a classmate that was in need. The food pantry serves teens in need at the twins’ Gwinnett County high school.
The Seroyer twins’ effort was recognized the The United Way in the form of a $25,000 grant. Additionally, Lauren was awarded the 2016 McDonald’s 365Black Community Choice Award for her efforts.
Great to see the youth making positive strides in the community.
