1. Storytelling
WWE has had a problem with storytelling and making sense creatively but Smackdown has been better between the two. They’ve built themselves some awesome rivalries between AJ Styles/Dean Ambrose/James Ellsworth….yes Ellsworth, Dolph Ziggler/Miz, Nikki Bella/Carmella and Becky Lynch/Alexa Bliss. The only one SD bombed was Orton & Bray Wyatt even though it started out very well.
Meanwhile, Raw has staggered a bit here. While the “main eventers” seem to have their story between Chris Jericho, who has been sensational, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins everything else seems pretty dead. They had Rusev/Reigns which was solid but ended it once Reigns won the US Title. They had Charlotte & Sasha going for a bit but they cut that at the knees as they always do and never let it play out long term. Their feud has been very choppy and it should be way better than it is. Raw has been so dismal with this they’ve managed to screw up the Cruiserweight Division.
Yes, Raw has been hit with injuries such as Finn Balor which was a huge blow and the ones in the women’s division have hurt them more they could’ve imagined. Paige has been going through it with injuries & with WWE but had she been there she would’ve been the perfect filler as a challenger for Charlotte before Charlotte moved onto Bayley or Nia Jax. Paige can do heel/face so her going against Sasha, Bayley or Nia would’ve been doable and creative would had a little less headaches.
However, there’s no excuse for Raw not have any flow when they have all that talent on the roster.
