It’s that easy huh?
According to the Kansas City Star — a 40-year-old convicted felon has been accused of pretending to be a lawyer and representing clients while working out of a home office for years, police say.
The details on how long Taylor pretended to be a lawyer are unclear — what we do know is that he had a Facebook page for his alleged law firm dating back to 2013.
Taylor was arrested after court clerks grew suspicious of him when he tried to pay a clients court fees and the check bounced.
When called by the court, Taylor allegedly changed his story about being in court
A background check revealed he had several prior convictions, including fraud, forgery, drug possession and auto theft that date back to 1999.
Taylor — who does not have a law degree — framed one in his name and went to court defending clients as if he was Johnny Cochran.
Even negotiating a client’s drug paraphernalia charge down to a $229 fine for littering.
There’s no word yet on his punishment, or what his record in court was either. Can you imagine finding out you lost a case to Reginald Taylor the convict?
