Kevin Love didn’t finish Sunday’s game against the Thunder, after he left with back spasms in the 2nd quarter. The Cavs ended up winning decisively, but another injury to a Cleveland starter casts a shadow on the future of their championship defense.
Cleveland Coach Tyron Lue stated that Love would not accompany the team on their next road trip, and would remain in Cleveland to undergo an MRI on his back.

Love’s injury uncertainty comes at a time when LeBron James has openly lobbied for another play maker to improve the team. If Love’s injury keeps him out of the lineup for an extended period, then expect to see some fan backlash over not accepting the Knicks trade offer of Carmelo Anthony for Kevin Love.
