NFL prospects get ready. If you can break Chris Johnson’s 4.24 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the combine, you can have your own private island. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the German athletic apparel giant will buy any prospect that accomplishes the feat a private island. But, there are a few caveats.
The prospect must break the record in the 2017 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats and agree to endorse the company’s product for the entire season. Not bad, right? Although we know some of you out there are brand loyalists to another apparel and sneaker giant that you wouldn’t dare rock the three stripes.
You might be thinking how available are private islands? More available than you think. There are many islands available in the Western Hemisphere alone and they are more “affordable” than you might imagine. The stipulations of the adidas deal say that adidas will provide a winner with an island “as soon as reasonably possible,” but the company can also pay the athlete $1 million instead. It is unclear how adidas will decide on the island or payment. We imagine it would have to do with however long it took to secure the island.
Which would you choose? The million bucks or the private island?
