It’s the day after the NCAA men’s basketball championship game and you know that means it’s arguing time. This year the Tar Heels won the championship and now a whole bunch of Tar Heel memorabilia will be sold. All this money will be pouring in and NONE of it will be going to the players.
This topic goes in circles from people saying athletes shouldn’t get paid because they’re getting paid with an “education” and they’re going to school for free. Then, you have the other side that feel that they should get paid because well literally everybody else is making money off THEIR talents & image so why can’t they do it?
Plenty of former college athletes have come out and said athletes should get paid because they can’t get money any place else.

The system is rigged. For people who think these college athletes are living glorious lives, they aren’t. Plenty of past NCAA athletes have mentioned not being able to eat, sleeping couch to couch, falling behind on rent because they have NO MONEY while everybody else is rolling in dough.
Radio host Dan Dakich sent this tweet out regarding this issue,
NCAA..only place 18-24 yr old Athletes make $20,000 to $60,000 for 20 hr a week work only 8 hrs work in the summer months and r "exploited"
