The beef between Markieff Morris and Paul Millsap just got personal.
It is clear that these two have had problems throughout the series between the Hawks and Wizards.
But in the locker room is where this beef gets personal.
These two players have been battling back and forth since the start of the series. In Game 1, Millsap suggests that Washington had been “playing MMA” while Atlanta was just trying for some good honest basketball.
Morris to the comment replied saying that Millsap should now expect double MMA in Game 2. The Wizards went on to win that match up as well.
With the series at 2-0, and the feud between the two even reaching a physical point on the court, Markieff made it personal with his post game comments after Game 3.
The Hawks dominated taking Game 3 defeating Washington 116-98 , Millsap had 29 points, 14 boards, got to the line 11 times.
In the locker room Morris had some thoughts to share on Millsap’s performance which took this beef from on-the-court to personal.
“Me, as a man, you take your wins with your losses. I take my wins with my losses all the time. He just did more for his team. He’s a crybaby. You get all the calls when you’re a crybaby. That’s how I look at it.”
The press informed Millsap of the comments as he sat next to his teammate Dennis Schroder at the post game interview. After hearing the comments from Markieff , Schroeder put his head in his hand and mumbled, “Oh my gosh, no. Oh, Paul.”
Even Schroeder couldn’t help but react to Morris’ comment, it has to be the best part of interview.
Millsap laughed before replying
“It definitely got personal now, yes. I don’t care, so what. Take his loss and go back to the hotel, be ready for the next game.”
Get your popcorn, Game 4 is going to be a must see.
