Confused by Arizona Senator John McCain’s line of questioning during former FBI director James Comey’s Senate Intelligence Committee hearing Thursday? You aren’t the only one.
During his line of questioning, Sen. McCain confused viewers when he appeared to intertwine the on-going investigation into Russian meddling in the campaign with the Hillary Clinton private email server closed probe. As the questioning continued, Comey pointed out that the two inquiries weren’t connected.
According to Variety, the social media reaction to McCain’s questioning was so swift, questioning the Senator’s health and well being, that he issued the following statement blaming the Arizona Diamondbacks for his confusing questioning.
The Diamondbacks got wind of the blame game and retweeted his statement with their own response.
