Kyrie Irving requested a trade and suitors came running….FAST. However, it looks like the pace might be slowing down.
Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer broke down all the trade possibilities. From Minnesota to Phoenix, Denver, Portland and New York. There’s a lot of moving parts and teams willing to trade a bunch of assets but now Irving won’t give any commitments to stay on the team he’s traded to.
Pluto wrote,
I’m told Irving is not about to commit to any team at this point. He has two seasons left on his contract and wants to keep his options open
Irving is smart, he wants to keep his options open, but you can’t expect those teams to come running how they did before. If Kyrie can give that commitment, he would probably be out of Cleveland tonight.
NBA teams will play their musical chairs and there’s going to be a circus the first few weeks into the NBA season.
