Shocker, being an NFL referee may have been barely considered a part-time job over the years. In Layman’s terms, they show up one day a week for roughly three hours for about half of the year and get paid handsomely for it. Because this job has never required too much time, most referees have other jobs during the off-season that vary from schools principles to lawyers. That all changes this season.
In theory, this implementation of giving officials full-time status should improve the way the game is officiated, because officials that choose to go to full-time status will be able to find better and more efficient ways to referee the game in a quicker and more accurate manner.
Anything to improve the game so that we don’t have anymore calls like these right?
