LaVar Ball strikes again! It’s been a few days since we’ve heard LaVar say and do anything in the media, so it’s only right that we start off the week with a LaVar Ball story. LaVar’s son, Lonzo has gotten off to a somewhat rocky start this season averaging 10-7-7 on 31% shooting and had it not been for one explosive outing against the Phoenix Suns his scoring numbers would be significantly lower. In fact if you take out the game against the Suns he only averages 6-7-7 on 23% shooting. Not exactly setting the world on fire like his father promised he would, but if you ask LaVar about his son he’ll tell you “he’s great.”
TMZ caught up with LaVar to ask about Lonzo’s slow start:
When asked to rate Lonzo’s first few weeks, LaVar responded with, “How would I rate his first few weeks? Good!” In typical LaVar fashion he goes on and on about how Lonzo is a star and is great and is “built that way.”
When questioned on Ron Artest’s comments about not being able to tell if Lonzo is a star until he has three years in the league LaVar says he already knows his son is great and is a star.
Lonzo was asked the same questions in the video and did not respond to any questions.
