It was a split second decision for Barry Church. Either hit Rob Gronkowski low and possible damage his knee or aim higher and risk a helmet to helmet blow. Church decided to aim high hitting Gronk in the chest, but the force of the collision brought their helmets together.
The result of the play was a personal foul on Church, but Gronk left the game with a concussion and never returned. Some fans on Twitter called it a dirty play by Barry Church.
