Last night, two black men were arrested at a Starbucks in Philadelphia because they were being black, before they ordered, while waiting for their friend to show up, and presumably meet them for coffee.
The incident occurred at the Starbucks at 18th and Spruce.
As you can see in the video, their friend did eventually show up to the Starbucks, and these two black men were led past their friend by Police in handcuffs.
Per the video, it seems as if there were several witnesses to this event.
Starbucks provided a statement on the events:
We’re aware of the incident on Thursday in a Philadelphia store with 2 guests and law enforcement, resulting in their removal. We’re reviewing the incident with our partners, law enforcement and customers to determine what took place and led to this unfortunate result.
