Rumors have been circulating since the end of last year on the possibility of Joe Budden returning to the talk show world after his unexpected separation from Complex’s Everyday Struggle. Last December, Joe Budden and Charlemagne the God hosted an end-of-the-year special on REVOLT, This Year Was Dope/Trash, giving fans hope that Joe may find a permanent home at the network. Shortly after, REVOLT TV’s Instagram posted a video of Budden and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs at Diddy’s New Years Eve party discussing this possibility.
And now, according to Billboard, Joe Budden has officially signed with Revolt TV to create, executive produce, and host his own talk show, State of the Culture. REVOLT chairman Puff Daddy expresses his excitement saying “finally” Joe Budden has joined the “REVOLT family”. He continues:
Joe has an authentic approach and he’s never afraid to speak the truth. His many talents deserve a platform that pushes the culture forward and we are excited to produce next-level content with him.
Joe responds:
It was important to partner with a company that recognizes the growing need for our voices and ideas to stream freely without interruption…. Thank you to my business partner Ian Schwartzman and REVOLT for the opportunity to highlight my brutal honesty, passion and integrity. I love REVOLTING!! Together, we will continue to take this thing to heights unseen.
According to REVOLT, the plan for State of the Culture is to “deliver raw, unfiltered, and informative debates and interviews where Budden digs deep with prominent celebrities, artists and personalities.”
Joe Budden and his girlfriend Cyn Santana recently welcomed their son, Lexington, into the world, so a new permanent gig for Joe is definitely some good news.
State of the Culture is set to premier towards the end of Summer 2018.
